I do like the name "Gracepoint" for a mission church or any church for that matter. I have never heard it before but I like it. Churches and people within churches are to be points of light and grace in a darkened world.  "Grace," won for us through the life, death and resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, is the heart and soul of Christianity.  Just as we freely receive God's grace, we are to freely dispense it to others by spreading the message of the gospel and by the light of lives lived for Christ -- points of Grace.

C.S. Lewis wrote, "In the same way the Church exists for nothing else but to draw men into Christ, to make them little Christs.  If they are not doing that, all the cathedrals, clergy, missions, sermons, even the Bible itself, are simply a waste of time.  God became man for no other purpose."

"God became man for no other purpose."  I believe that is true and knowing that simple fact casts a whole new light on what the direction and purpose of our lives should be.  Living without Christ is going against the grain of God's divine plan.  Living without Christ is like swimming upstream or taking on too much cargo for the voyage.  The Bible says that all things, on earth and in heaven, will be united together in Christ.  Coming together in Christ is something for us to join and to celebrate, not resist.  Coming together in Jesus is God's fervent desire for all people.  Everything will come together in Jesus because Jesus is God's "Gracepoint."
